  • What is a spiral paper tube?

    A spiral paper tube is cylindrically shaped, and extruded in a continuous process using recycled paperboard ribbons and glue.  A paper tube is measured in Length x Internal Diameter x wall thickness (L x ID x Wall).

  • What is a cardboard tube?

    The term "cardboard tube" is what people mistakenly think is a spiral paper tube.  Cardboard is basically made up of a flute (made up of recycled paper), sandwiched between two liners.  A spiral tube is comprised of flat layers of recycled paper glued and pressed together.


  • How fast can I receive an order?

    Our average lead time is 5 business days, however we offer an emergency production service and may be able to get you an order in 24 hours or less!


  • What is the difference between a tube and core?

    In general, you would put objects inside a paper tube (posters, maps, good and products that need to be protected) and a paper core has material wound around the outside (tape, labels, textiles) however the terms are often used synonymously even by industry professionals.

  • What are NHPT's capabilities?

    Lengths: 1/4" to 15'   ID's: 1" to 9"  Wall thickness: 0.025" to 0.400"

  • Where does NHPT ship?

    We can ship anywhere in the US, however once we ship outside of about 150 miles, freight costs are an issue.  We ship primarily to New England states (New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont, Maine, Rhode Island)


  • Do you do printing?

    Yes!  We will numbers/letters, and fine detail logos.  One or two-color printing available  in any Pantone color, printed on the inside or outside of the tube.  Additionally we can assist in developing a print pattern/color for your business.


  • Are paper tubes environmentally friendly?

    No harmful chemicals are used in the production process, they are eco-friendly, renewable, biodegradable, home-compostable, and recyclable.  The paper we use comes from tree farms, and do not contribute to deforestation at all.
